2020 - 2021 Indoor Season Reflection
Our 2020 - 2021 pickleball indoor season is everything I hoped for. The pandemic virus certainly is an on going concern but we took all the necessary precaution and fortunately we had no incidence of virus contraction. Some of our members that came into contact with people outside the sport immediately took precautions by taking the Covid test before resuming. Even though the vaccine is here and many of our members have taken it, we will continue to take precautions and play safely.
We continue to add new members and helped grow the sport in Bergen County. My observation of those that play regularly and attend our Friday clinics, is very encouraging. The incremental progress on all aspect of the game including skill shot development, positioning, placement, point mgmt and game mgmt is taking hold. No matter what level you are at, improving your game will extend longer rallies and increase the enjoyment of the sport.
I know many of you have met new people and made new friends and I too have enjoyed engaging with all of you. Pickleball is a fun sport in combining social and competitive play at all different ability levels. I look forward to our outdoors season soon. Stay safe.
